Delegation of ADAs from LPs to a DRep

I volunteer to represent the interests of the DAO as a DRep.

It is fundamentally important that we participate in Cardano’s governance.
I ask the WR team if this is viable in the current version of our DEX or if it would require any changes to the smart contracts.

a drep in future has been brought up as an idea but it might be too early to make any decisions about this until we can figure out if and how a drep makes sense for Wingriders DAO. I’ll flag this idea again internally for consideration later.

As a DEX native to the Cardano ecosystem, I think we should not shy away from contributing to the innovative decentralized governance we are implementing.

maybe it would help to define some shared strategy, what would be the benefit and goals?

We need to adapt to the changes brought by the Chang hard fork, as delegation to a DRep will be required for staking rewards to be withdrawn.

DAOs from other DeFi platforms have already started choosing their DReps to adapt to the new methodology for redeeming staked ADA rewards.
The active voting period for the proposal #82 in Indigo will commence today regarding elect Florian Volery as DRep of the Liqwid protocol.
I believe that this topic deserves greater attention, due to the impact on our liquidity pools.

Implementing this would start to level the playing field when it comes to the larger drep players, currently top 3 Emurgo/Yoroi/yuta have 1.6 billion total ada delegated, the top 2 currently have gate jeeping authority as witnessed by the latest vote on the liquidity fund prop part 1. W/o their vote it wouldnt have passed, even with the majority of dreps voting for it. The ada currently sitting in lp’s should be utilized and voted on by the dao, as the founding member of usdm and as the minter of record for all Usdm, I would submit my drep id as a potential candidate for any usdm/ada pools.

I have shown my commitment to the community in a variety of areas and believe to be a person of good moral standard. I look forward to any questions or comments
